Teaching

My teaching journey began in 2011 as a qualified secondary school teacher in rural Cameroon, where I taught Economics, Mathematics and Commerce. Over more than a decade, I developed a strong commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching, sustaining this work even amid the armed conflict in Cameroon’s Anglophone regions. My dedication to teaching has been recognised through several professional awards and international opportunities, including the prestigious Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Programme in the United States. These experiences exposed me to different educational systems, cultures and approaches to learning, strengthening my ability to create inclusive learning environments that recognise students’ diverse backgrounds and experiences.

I have since transitioned fully into higher education teaching in the United Kingdom. I am currently an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Reading, where I teach undergraduate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics to culturally diverse student cohorts. My teaching continues to be shaped by a commitment to academic rigour, inclusion, real-world application and supporting every student to participate meaningfully in the learning process.
